In addition to specializing in residential and commercial construction and renovation, they also manage multiple residential apartment buildings in five different cities.

In our redesign of a TBC's Operations, Ascent performed a thorough investigation of the business, operational structure, and finances. We then developed and implemented standardized processes, procedures, workflows, and protocols.

Ascent led TBC through workshops with each department in the company (Accounting, Company Operations, Project Management and Field Operations). Together, we determined which best practices should be implemented to optimize workflows, internal accounting procedures, staff roles, and responsibilities. These were also structured to align with the new ERP software and increase efficiency and profitability.
 
New job narratives and descriptions were developed with TBC to enhance key employees’ understanding of their specific roles and how their responsibilities and workflows fit into the overall success of their projects and the company.
 

In addition, Ascent developed a training manual that included step-by-step Quick Reference Guides explaining how to use the new ERP and implement the optimized processes and workflows. In addition, they provided training and support to TBC through the software migration and adoption process.

By the end of the project, Ascent had provided Thayer-Bray with:

  • Optimized workflows that improve operational and project efficiency
  • Eliminated redundant processes and reduced manual data entry
  • Clearly defined the roles and responsibilities for each key staff member, providing clarity, alignment and performance expectations
  • Enhanced unity, collaboration and ‘ownership’ among TBC staff
  • Increased profitability by reducing operational costs, enabling accurate project cost forecasting, and providing real-time reporting on projects
