Operational Design
When redesigning a client's operations, Ascent begins with a thorough investigation of the business, operational structure, and finances. We then develop and implement standardized processes, procedures, workflows, and protocols (along with a few industry best practices) across the organization.

Design & Development Efficiency
The Design & Development department was revamped to accelerate and simplify the transition from concept to construction.
Our operational design experts conducted workshops at Deck Remodelers HQ to redefine and optimize team roles. While including specific and cross-functional team members, these workshops allowed input at all levels to influence operational optimization. Following the development of the new operational plans, we revisited for training to ensure the team understood and was utilizing the plan correctly.
The new plan provided streamlined workflows and effective resource planning—all of which enhanced communication between departments and with their clients. With our newly designed process, employees are gathering design decisions from the client much earlier in the build process. This allows for decision making to occur earlier, reducing or eliminating delays and confusion as the project progresses.
Field Operations Coordination
A key focus of our engagement was to improve the coordination between the Design and Field operations teams. The implementation of a cohesive operational strategy for the these teams established a standard path for information to flow between these departments.
By establishing clear communication channels and standardized procedures for information exchange, we minimized discrepancies and delays on-site. Real-time project tracking tools were introduced to keep all teams aligned and responsive to project needs. This enhanced coordination reduced errors and unexpected work in the field, eliminating the possibility that the final construction would be impacted by poor communication, outdated decisions, or bad project organization.
