In order to implement better business practices, Ascent worked closely with the Carey Bros. team through various workshops focused on process mapping, which allows Ascent to identify potential redundancies that would lead to decreased efficiency levels, as well as capitalize on any existing areas of strength. By making collaborative adjustments regarding roles & responsibilities, Ascent helped maximize employee productivity and increase efficiency within the organization.

Additionally, Ascent created a bonus incentive program that rewarded employees for performance above expectations and meeting specific milestones or goals set by management. In hopes to facilitate address ‘pain points,’ this is projected to increase the overall gross margin to 40%.

Finally, Ascent integrated change management processes into their plans, which included communication strategies aimed at helping employees effectively adapt throughout periods of transition or high-stress times.

Immediate effectiveness

Carey Bros. saw tremendous effects from their work with Ascent. Implementation of Ascent's recommendations enabled them to take work from sales to project close-out faster, increasing their project profitability by 15%.

By providing a detailed job description that was fully integrated with the new policies, procedures, and protocols, both current and future staff have a clear understanding of their roles and the how the company functions. In the end, Ascent assisted in the rolling out of the new Carey Bros. Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, online safety program and Verizon Connect.
