Adler Industrial Construction is a branch of Adler Industrial LLC. Founded in 1996, Adler is a vertically-integrated land development, construction and property management company. Specializing in Class “A” industrial real estate, they are a market leader in the Boise area, having acquired or developed over 80 properties to date.   

Procore and Accounting

Ascent and Adler worked through a structured discovery process to ensure they would be using Procore most effectively and that Procore and their Accounting software were properly connected and syncing data in real time.

Facilitating Software Integration and Procore® Training

The team at Adler Industrial Constuction had recently purchased an ERP connector for Foundation and Procore to simplify the data entry process for their Accounting and Construction teams.  Ascent reviewed and tested the configuration to ensure the connector was properly syncing data. AIC also wanted additional training in best practices with Procore's project management tools to improve overall project collaboration efforts.

Diagnosing Potential Integration Issues

Ascent's hands-on discovery process helped identify potential areas of concern with the Foundation connector's ability to meet the requirements of Adler's unique business and existing accounting software structure.

Because of Ascent's experience navigating similar software hurdles, our consultants knew that Adler would require additional information to make an informed decision. To provide additional insight of the ERP integration obstacles, Ascent connected Adler with a past client who had shared similar struggles implementing the same Foundation connector. 

The knowledge gained through this diagnostic process empowered the team at Adler to ultimately make an informed decision not to move forward with the integration as planned. Instead, the project shifted to focus on providing training sessions covering best practices for the Adler Industrial team to expand its capabilities with Procore's pre-construction, project management, and financials tools.

Empowering Adler Industrial to Learn New Procore Skills

The Adler team realized they were under-utilizing Procore and were ready to grow their skillsets to make the most of Procore's tools. Ascent hosted eight live Procore training workshops, and also worked with the team to define key processes to be executed in Procore to ensure standardized use for current and future projects. 

The Adler team was highly engaged throughout the entire project and had clear expectations and goals for the training. Their positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills were major contributing factor to this project's success. They quickly expanded their  use of Procore's Pre-Construction and Project Management tools to improve collaboration efforts among all team members. 

A Promising Partnership Moving Forward

Ascent's collaborative approach, adaptive planning, deep industry knowledge guided Adler Industrial Construction through a critical decision-making process and grew their confidence in powerful project management tools. 

While this was a focused project for one area of Adler Industrial Construction, there is now an open-door policy between Adler and Ascent if they ever require future consulting services.
